The excerpt from the taxi license is a document that ensures that the car is assigned to the entrepreneur’s existing taxi license and confirms that the requirements related to the transport of taxi passengers are met.

1. How to add the excerpt to the Uber app? 
If you’re renting a car, which is added to your partner’s accountDown Small
Once you know that the excerpt has been issued, call your partner, ask him/her to take a picture of the excerpt and then add it to car documents in the Uber Driver App in the section “Stara licencja taxi lub Wypis na samochód z nowej licencji”
If you’re the owner of a car and it’s added to your accountDown Small
Enter the Uber Driver App
Expand the menu
  3. Choose “Account”
4. Choose “Documents”
5. Find your car on the vehicle list and select “[OPCJONALNIE] Stara licencja taxi lub Wypis na samochód z nowej licencji”
6. Take picture of the excerpt. Make sure that it’s legible and that it fits into the designated field. That will speed up the document approval process.

2. How to get the excerpt?
The process of obtaining the excerpt depends on who’s the owner of the car.
If you’re renting the car from the partner:Down Small
Ask your partner to get the excerpt and hand on the necessary documents:
‣ Certificate of conducting the tests stating that there are no health contraindications for working as a driver
‣ Certificate of conducting the tests stating no psychological contraindications to work as a driver
‣ Certificate of no criminal record, not older than 30 days
If you’re the owner of the car:Down Small

Go for an additional taxi check-up. The cost of such a test is 43 PLN and it is a statutory cost.
After obtaining a certificate from a diagnostic station, go to the communication department where your car is registered, and get a taxi stamp. If you do not come from Poland and the car is registered in Warsaw, submit the documents to Kruczkowskiego 2.
Extend the obligatory third-party liability insurance with additional taxi insurance. For this purpose, we have prepared a special support offer for you, details of which can be found here.
Ask your partner to get an excerpt from the license and provide him/her with the following documents:
‣ Certificate of conducting the tests stating that there are no health contraindications for working as a driver 
‣ Certificate of conducting the tests stating no psychological contraindications to work as a driver
‣ Legal title to the vehicle (it can be, for example, registration certificate, leasing contract)
‣ A copy or original of the vehicle registration certificate with a taxi annotation- depending on the current requirements of your communications department
‣ A certificate of no criminal record, not older than 30 days

3. How long will you need to wait for an excerpt?
According to the act, if you submit all the documents and there will be no inconsistencies, the Office should issue an excerpt from the taxi license within 30 days. The waiting time is, however, often much shorter.
