June 1st marks a very special day in Polish calendars. It is not just the beginning of summer, but it is also a day to celebrate children. 
This Children’s Day, we would like to take a moment to not just celebrate but also to support those children and mothers who have not had an easy life, who have escaped violence or overcome hardship and are now starting a new chapter in their lives.   
Together with the Polish charity, House of Single Mothers, we are organizing a donations collection in Warsaw, Łódź, Kraków, Katowice, Poznań, Wrocław, and Gdańsk, Katowice to help mothers and children in need
What can you donate?
Any donation is appreciated, but the following items are especially appreciated: 
Baby feeding products (Bebilon 1,2,3 milk; Nan 1,2,3 milk); 
Food (long shelf-life products)
Bedsheets, blankets, towels 
Pampers, 4, 5
Toys for 2-10 years old kids (balls, dolls, LEGO…)
Domestic detergents
Clothes for kids between 2-10 years
Before your donation, please make sure that clothes and toys are clean and in a good condition (with all buttons and working zippers). Please do not donate worn out clothes. 
How to donate?

Warsaw
You can donate to the House of Single Mothers by requesting through the special Giving option in your app. The Giving request and donations delivery are free of charge.
1. On Saturday, June 1st, open or download the Uber app.
2. The special donation view will be visible to you from 10:00 to 16:00
3. Input your pickup address in the “Where to” section and request the “Giving” option
4. Wait until your request is accepted by an available partner driver in the area
5. Once your request is accepted, a partner driver together with a volunteer will arrive to pick up your donations
6. All donations will be dropped off by the volunteers to the Single Mothers Centre in Warsaw where they will be distributed to its inhabitants
If you cannot use the Giving option on this day but still want to contribute, you may use the promo for Warsaw to get a free round trip to the charity to drop off your donation by yourself.

Here’s how to add the promo code: :
1. Open the “Menu” in you app
2. Go to the “Payment” tab and choose “Add Promo Code”
3. Input the promo code for your city (Please see below)
4. The promo code will automatically apply to your trip. Note: It will only apply if your trip will end or start in the area next to the Single Mothers House in your city. Promo code value in Warszawa is 70 PLN off a trip.
5. Promo code will be valid from June 1st (09:00) till June 8th (20:00).
6. You need to add the code only once, it will automatically apply to your return trip as well.

Important:
The Giving option is limited to the city of Warsaw. 
With the Giving option in Warsaw you can only request a free donations delivery. If you want to go from A to B  in Warsaw please request UberX, Select or Black. 
We expect a high demand for UberGiving – please do not get discouraged if you cannot request it right away
If you are in Warsaw but cannot use UberGiving at the time, you may request UberX and use promo code for Warsaw
If you are in Kraków, Katowice, Łódź, Poznań, Wrocław or Gdańsk please add promo code (listed above) and request Uber to complete a trip to the Single Mothers House in your city. You will find a code dedicated to your city above
Promo code will be valid from June 1st (9:00) to June 8th (20:00). 
If added promo codes prior to June 1st, don’t worry it has been applied to your account. The promo code will be visible in the app from June 1st to June 8th
Free pickup and delivery of donations is available in Warsaw only. For the remaining cities you may deliver the donation yourself by requesting a free ride
