What is it?
Our in-app delivery product is a same-day delivery solution that allows people to send items whether it’s a business order, a care package for a loved one, a gift for a friend’s birthday, or an item you sold online.
Here’s how it compares with other package-delivery services:
- On-demand package delivery—no need to wait hours or days for it to arrive.
- Request through the Uber app, and track the delivery from curb to curb. The delivery person will pick up the package directly from your location.
How does it work?
- Prepare your package.*
- Open the Uber app and select Package from the home screen.
- Enter your delivery information and request an item delivery pickup.
- When your delivery person arrives, meet them kerbside to load the package into their vehicle.
- Track the delivery in real-time within the app.
- Instruct the recipient to meet the delivery person at the curb to retrieve the package.
FAQ
- What should I do if I want to travel with my package?
Uber Connect is a product only for the transportation of packages, not people. Therefore, if you wish to travel with your package you should book another service (e.g. UberX).
- How big of an item can I send via Connect?
Only packages up to 15 KG and a value of maximum 500 PLN can be sent via Uber Connect.
- Can I send packages to someone who doesn’t have an Uber app account?
Absolutely, you can! Once you enter the contact details of the person you wish to send the package to and confirm delivery, they will receive a text message with a link to track the progress of their delivery.
- Will the driver collect or drop off the package on my doorstep?
No, Connect is a curb to curb service and you would be expected to wait for the driver by the curb and to put the package in the vehicle. You should also instruct the person you are sending a package to to be ready by the curb for drop off.
- Where can I send packages with Connect?
You can use Connect for quick package deliveries in Warsaw, Kraków, Poznań, Wrocław and Trójmiasto.
- Can I use Connect for intercity deliveries?
No, Uber Connect may only be used for quick city deliveries.
- Is my package insured when I use the Connect product?
Uber does not maintain insurance for loss, damage, or theft in respect of the Package(s) or delivery provided by Third Party Providers in connection with Uber Connect. It is your responsibility to insure the Package(s) and you should contact an insurance agent or broker if additional insurance coverage is desired in connection with the Package(s) or your use of Uber Connect.
| * Connect Package(s), together, per trip, (i) may not be greater than 15 kilograms, (ii) must fit comfortably in the boot of a mid-size motor vehicle, and (iii) may not have a total value greater than 500 PLN.
