We’re delighted we now have more than 1,000 restaurant partners on Uber Eats in New Zealand, just over one year since we launched in Auckland with an initial 70 restaurants.

This means Kiwis now have even more delicious food options they can get delivered to their door across six cities: Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.

The Cuban is our 1,000th restaurant-partner, meaning meals infused with the flavour of Havana are now just a few smartphone taps away for the residents of Christchurch.

This milestone coincides with an accolade Uber Eats recently received for the ‘Hottest E-Commerce Launch’ at the 2018 Retail Hotlist Awards. We’re pleased to drive innovation in the New Zealand landscape, and look forward to linking more New Zealanders with great local restaurants as we continue to grow.

As our Uber Eats Country Manager Andy Bowie says: “We’ve been thrilled to be able to partner with such a wide range of Kiwi restaurant owners and operators over the last year,  helping them to reach more eaters with their food and grow their businesses.

“From Mexican and Vietnamese dishes to American and Italian cuisine – and bagels to burgers and smoothies to sundaes – Kiwis have embraced the concept of getting restaurant quality meals delivered, at the touch of a button.”

The Uber Eats app also offers delivery partners a flexible way to make money at times that suit their own schedule. They simply go online when they want, and choose how they want to deliver, from driving a car to riding a bike or scooter.
