Introducing the Work Hub, a new way for drivers to find earning opportunities
29 May 2020 / New Zealand—Dara Khosrowshahi, Uber CEO“The most important thing we can do right now is support drivers. They’re doing essential work to keep our communities moving as we fight this virus, but with fewer trips happening they need more ways to earn. With the Work Hub, we hope drivers can find more work opportunities, whether that’s with another of Uber’s businesses or at another company.”
This is a difficult period for everyone, including the thousands of Kiwis who choose to drive using the Uber app. With more people staying at home to limit the spread, we know there are fewer trips available, and this may mean you’re earning less money driving. That’s why we’re introducing the Work Hub, a new way for you to find other earning opportunities.
If Uber Eats or parcel delivery is available in your city and you have agreed to the terms for each product, you can choose to opt in to receive trip requests with a single tap in the Driver app.
Parcel delivery will be piloting in select cities in New Zealand in the next few weeks. To start receiving parcel delivery trip requests, opt-in now through Work Hub, so you’ll be ready for when the product launches near you. You’ll be able to turn off parcel delivery requests at any time in the Preferences section in your Driver app.
Thank you for helping move what matters.
