It’s a great time to go green! Driving a hybrid or all-electric vehicle now makes you eligible for Uber Green trips!
Uber Green connects you with riders wanting to get to their destination in a hybrid or electric vehicle.
If your vehicle has a hybrid or fully electric engine, you will automatically be eligible for Uber Green trips starting 11th May 2023.
What is Uber Green?
- Available exclusively to existing driver partners in hybrid or battery electric vehicles – there are no other requirements needed!
- Uber Green will be available in all New Zealand cities where Uber is available
- Receive the same fare from riders as UberX
Already earn using a hybrid or electric vehicle?
If you already earn using a hybrid or battery electric vehicle, you’ll automatically be eligible to receive Uber Green trips.
Planning to earn using a hybrid or electric vehicle?
Simply add a hybrid or electric vehicle to your account, and you’ll automatically be eligible to receive Uber Green trips.
Why not make the switch to a fully electric vehicle? You could be eligible for a 50% reduced service fee starting from 1 July 2023.
Will I still receive UberX trips?
Yes! If eligible, you will receive Uber Green trips in addition to UberX and all other trip types you are currently eligible for!
