Uber introduces a new initiative in Oslo: UberMedics. To support the people who can’t stay home during the pandemic, we’re committing 5,000 free trips to hospital workers in Oslo. Since March, Uber has pledged 10 million of these free essential rides during the pandemic, all over the world.
We introduce this initiative to support hospital workers who are working in increasingly difficult circumstances on a daily basis. In addition, this promotion will also benefit Uber drivers, since they will have extra trips which Uber fully pays for

Things to know
- You’ll be able to claim up to 5 rides per week.
- The promotion will end when all 5,000 Uber trips are used, based on ‘first come first served’-principle. This promotion will end on December 31st 2020.
- Uber will pay the trip fare up to 230 NOK. If you go over, you will be charged the difference. The discount will be applied automatically at the end of your trip. The promotion applies at the end of the trip, so while the fare estimate might be 150-170 NOK, this trip will be free after the promotion.
