As of January 1st, we will introduce a rate adjustment for all your future ride requests for uberX, Black and Van in The Netherlands. 
Next to the nationwide VAT increase on transportation, we are making additional price changes to further enhance the experience for both riders and drivers. With these changes we aim to make our service even more reliable by improving the availability, while still being an affordable way to travel around.
Under this new fare structure, a trip with no surge from Central Station in Amsterdam to Rijksmuseum will on average cost €10.36, €0.96 more than the current €9.40.
And remember, you’ll always get an estimate for your trip before you request your ride, so you’ll know how much it will cost. Please check the new fares below.

Questions & Answers

Do you think the reliability of Uber will increase by these new fares?
As these changes will help drivers to make the most out of their time on the app, we believe this will improve the experience for both riders and drivers. Our aim is to increase reliability by improving the availability of Uber for riders, while remaining the affordable option.
How will this adjustment affect my trip during NYE?
The rate adjustment will be in effect immediately after midnight. Please be aware that as with every year during NYE, it’s likely fares -in general- will be higher than usual, due to high demand.
Why is the fare for uberX different in Brabant?
The price level on trips in the Brabant area is slightly higher than in the rest of the cities we are active in in the Netherlands. This is to make up for the longer arrival times and lesser trips the drivers face due to the fact that our operations in Brabant are not at the same level of maturity as the rest of our active cities.
How will this new pricing range compare to other services?
We believe we will be able to continue to offer some of the most competitive fares for riders in the Netherlands.
