We do our utmost best to ensure that all trips taken with Uber are free from any fraudulent activity and incident-free. However, we are aware that there are times when activities which are against Uber policy may occur without our consent.
We are aware that certain drivers have been using an app which simulates a fake GPS, leading customers to be charged inaccurate trip fares. This is in clear violation of our Community Guidelines and we do not condone this behaviour at all.
Fraudulent activity undermines the trust on which Uber is built, and we’re constantly on the lookout for fraudulent behaviour by riders and drivers. As an extra measure of protection, we have automated rules in place which warns and permanently deactivates any account(s) associated with fraudulent activity.
All riders that report fraudulent activity to Uber will get refunded, and we encourage both riders and driver-partners to rate their journey at the end of the trip. Honest feedback helps ensure that everyone is accountable for their behaviour and creates a respectful, safe environment for both riders and drivers.
