Lagos is known for being the Party Capital as well as it’s bursting driver and energy! After two years and over a million trips across the city, it got us thinking—where is everyone going? What do Lagosians use Uber for most?
To answer these questions, we took a look at anonymized trip data since the price cut. Here’s the full destinations breakdown:
As you can see, 28% of all trips end at Shopping centres indicating that shopping is a top use-case for many Lagosians. 26% of all trips end at a hotel — these trips are likely split between hotel guests and locals heading to the nightclubs, bars, and restaurants associated with the hotel.
As we mentioned, Lagos is the Party capital so we are not surprised to see that 22% of trips end at a Party venue. Sip, Club 57, The Place, RSVP, Nitro, We see you! 🙂 Destinations like hospitals, gyms and schools make up the “Other” 24%.
