We all know that Lagos is a city like no other. While there are so many things that make our city great, we cannot deny the challenges that the traffic in the city presents. Through numerous partner feedback sessions, we’ve learned that traffic represents one of the biggest challenges that driver-partners face.
Because of this, we’re changing the fare structure to better compensate driver-partners for the time they spend in traffic. This change takes place from today, 20 November 2017.
What does that mean for you? Whilst the per minute fare is increasing, Uber remains one of the most affordable ways to get around your city, offering one of the lowest per km rates around. This also means that more driver-partners will look to Uber as an earning opportunity, helping to make Uber more reliable for you and your loved ones.
Ready to get moving? You can expect fares to be calculated as follows:
Route | Old Fare | New Fare |
Lekki Phase 1 to Ikoyi | ₦900 | ₦1,100 |
Victoria Island to Ikeja | ₦2,800 | ₦3,500 |
Surulere to Victoria Island | ₦1,600 | ₦1,900 |
Keep Lagos moving!
