We’re excited to announce a first-of-its-kind partnership with the Sacramento Kings.

For the 2014 Kings season, we’re rolling out a red carpet for the NBA’s loudest fans. The Kings have been hard at work on a new version of the Kings app, which now features the Uber API so you can request a ride to the game while you’re browsing stats and watching videos of DeMarcus Cousins driving to the net.

Uber API now arriving with the sacramento kings

Your Uber will roll right up to the main entrance at Sleep Train Arena, making it easier than ever to get courtside.

On Wednesday, October 29, Kings fans will be able to access Uber via the “Going to the Game” or “Transportation” section of the Kings mobile app.

We’re also adding a Kings experience to the Uber app for fans in Sactown!

Whether in our app or theirs, one tap gets you to the game before tip-off.

HOW IT WORKS

Download the Uber app
Open up the app on days when the Kings are playing at home
When you’re in the Sacramento area you’ll see the Kings insignia on the request screen
Request a ride and Uber will take you right to the front entrance or from the front entrance to home
Enjoy the game! Go Kings!

This is the first time Uber’s API has been used by a professional sports team. Be on the lookout for special Uber giveaways, halftime promotions and special in-app gifts throughout the 2014–2015 season!
