On April 24th, the financial capital of India woke up to Voting Day at dawn and saw Uber Mumbai officially launch by dusk. We hosted our official launch party overlooking the Mumbai skyline at the swanky Aer Lounge at the Four Seasons Hotel. Our guests arrived in #UberStyle and in numbers to show their love for Uber in its fifth, and possibly biggest, city in India.
We began our testing phase in Mumbai a few weeks ago, and have been floored by the response! Mumbai is Uber Asia’s fastest growing city thanks to all the support we have received. Uber has blended in beautifully with the lifestyle of Mumbaikars from all walks of life. Be it red-eye trips to the airport, rush hour dashes for meetings at BKC, or laid-back cruises along Marine Drive on a Sunday afternoon…Uber has been there for one and all. It reinforces our belief that Uber is changing the way this city moves!
