Since Uber launched in Chandigarh, people have valued the ability to access rides on-demand through our app. But we’ve also heard that sometimes, people just want to arrange a pickup in advance, so they can rest assured that an Uber will be available when they need it, even if it’s for a 4AM ride to the airport.
We know there are times when you want to plan ahead – we totally get it. And that’s why with just a few taps on your app, you can schedule your ride 30 minutes to 30 days in advance and have the comfort of knowing your Uber will be there when it’s time to head out.
How it works:

- Select the Uber ride you want and tap ‘Schedule a Ride’
- Set your pickup date, time, location, and destination. You will see an estimate for your ride
- Confirm the details of your upcoming trip and tap “Schedule uberGO” or “Schedule uberX”. You can cancel at anytime before your ride is on the way
- We’ll send you reminders both 24 hours and 30 minutes before your pickup
- You’ll be notified once your ride is on the way and we’ll let you know whether dynamic pricing applies
- Scheduled Rides are currently available on uberGO and uberX. You can pay with your credit card, debit card, prepaid wallet or with good old cash
Uber’s standard cancellation policy applies to Scheduled Rides as well. Riders can cancel their Scheduled Ride anytime without charge before the driver is en-route to their pick up. Scheduled Rides are no different for the drivers as well. The app constantly monitors the ETA and when it’s time to request, it dispatches the closest Uber. Magic as always.
