Meet the Team – Anand

The past 20 months have been an awesome ride for Uber in Chennai. As we have been working to bring safe and reliable transportation options here, this growth has brought many new faces to the team, who have been working hard to make Uber the best that it can be for this city.

Today we’re kicking off the introductions with Anand, the most recent addition to the Uber Operations team. With his natural curiosity, diverse interests and fun-loving sense of humor, he has become an instant favorite around the office as he spends his days working tirelessly to make sure that rides in the city are safe, reliable and convenient. Describe yourself in one word: Jack of All Trades

Where did you grow up? I grew up in Bangalore!

What do you like to do when you’re not working? I love to read, especially hard science fiction by Issac Asimov

What is your favorite movie of all time? It’s so hard to pick just one! But I’ll have to go with The Matrix

What is your typical Uber ride? I love uberX for getting to and from work or going out around the city. I also enjoy getting to know our driver partners better.

Shark diving, bungee jumping or sky diving? Sky diving. Definitely sky diving. (Also, I can’t swim)

If you could hang out with one historical figure for a day, who would it be? Nikola Tesla
