How to use uberPOOL in Jaipur?

Selecting the uberPOOL option connects you real-time with 1 or 2 passengers heading in the same direction, adds only a few minutes to your trip, and you both SAVE BIG. uberPOOL rides are up to 40% cheaper than traveling solo on uberGO and no matter where you’re headed – it will get you there for way, way less!

WHEN: uberPOOL is available from 8 am to 10 pm, 7 days a week

WHERE: uberPOOL is available for trips starting/ending in most parts of Jaipur. Over time we will extend the service area to more parts of the city.

How is uberPOOL different from uberGO?

How much will it cost?

All uberPOOL trips will cost up to 40% less than uberGO. You will see the pricing upfront before requesting and that’s all you need to pay. uberPOOL prices vary basis time of the day and traffic conditions.

What if I don’t match with another rider?

If there is no rider near you with a similar route, you’ll get a solo ride, just like taking an uberGO. Irrespective of whether your trip is matched or not, you will enjoy the discounted uberPOOL fare for this trip.

Can I bring other people when carpooling as a rider?

Feel free to bring one friend! To make sure there’s enough room for everyone, right now we can allow only 2 riders per pickup. Maximum number of riders in an uberPOOL car is restricted to 4.

How is my co-rider chosen?

Co-riders are matched according to the similarity of the route your Uber is taking. As always, we’re aiming to take you on the most efficient route based on your request. Once you start your uberPOOL trip, you can’t ask the driver to cancel on the other rider, or change your destination.

What type of car will I get?

All cars available on uberGO will be available on uberPOOL.

How long will it take? Will I go out of my way?

We match riders in a way that does not significantly increase total trip time. If there is no rider near you with a similar route, you’ll get a solo ride, just like taking an uberGO. Irrespective of whether your trip is matched or not, the fare will be the same as the one you saw before requesting. A few extra minutes, a bag full of savings!

How long will the driver wait?

Please be prepared to meet your driver as soon as the car arrives. As a courtesy to your co-rider, your uberPOOL driver will wait only 2 minutes.

I was picked up first—why was I dropped off second?

We map the route in the most efficient way possible. At times, you will be picked up first and dropped off second, but your total trip time will be minimised.

Can I bring luggage?

It is advisable not to carry heavy luggage on an uberPOOL trip since there should be room for another person and their belongings in the car.

What happens if I cancel?

Cancellations impact both your co-rider and your driver. If you must cancel, you will be charged a nominal cancellation fees as a result.

Can I change my destination or pickup location?

You cannot change your pickup location or destination once you’ve requested the trip, because we use the same when matching you with another rider.
