Diverse teams enable Uber to anticipate and meet the needs of its diverse customers and lead in the global marketplace. Hence, at Uber, we are on a mission to build the highest performing diverse workforce, working in the most inclusive and engaging workplace.
The uReturn program is an initiative by Uber India Tech team towards fulfilling its commitment to building sustainable diverse teams. Through this initiative, Uber strives to reach out to women on a career break, who would like to come back into the workforce. It provides a “bridge” for them to bounce back into their careers with confidence and comfort. uReturn is a full-time employment opportunity with Uber India.
Women who take a career break for life events & milestones like care-giving, changing cities etc. to support families – face additional scrutiny and barriers when they try to re-enter the workforce after such a break.
It is encouraging to see the industry coming forward to create opportunities for these women to make a career comeback. Sometimes, these opportunities are in the form of internships which are not attractive for women who have considerable work experience, skills and seniority.
The uReturn program aims to provide full-time roles for these women, in addition to a structured support to ensure a smooth transition, right from interview preparation, refreshers on core analytical, coding and problem solving skills and mentoring before interviewing, as well as bridging tech stack gaps through hands-on starter projects for comfortably landing into their roles once in our uReturn program. Uber is invested in their success all along the way!
We are kicking off this program with a few roles in the Engineering functions such as Software Engineer / System Engineer / Data Engineer !
You can check out open roles here and apply now.
