HIRE is a new kind of time-based Uber that’s available on-demand, to let you explore and travel around the city knowing that your Uber will wait for you. It’s perfect for travellers exploring a new city, senior citizens who need to make trips punctuated with multiple stop overs, or for business travellers who have multiple meetings – while ensuring it is an economical option for everyone.

Example Scenarios:
Scenario 1:
If you have chosen the 2 hr package on HIRE and complete your trip in 1.5hrs and travelled for 18kms. Then the applicable to you in cash would be ₹649.
Scenario 2:
If you have chosen the 2 hr package on HIRE and complete your trip in 2.5hrs and travelled for 22kms. Then the fare applicable to you would be in cash ₹749 ( Base Fare of ₹649 + Additional kms Travelled 2*₹20 + Additional time consumed 30*₹2 ).

Q: How do I pay the driver partner?

A: We currently accept only cash payments on Hire. You can pay your driver partner at the end of your trip.

Q: Is HIRE available in all locations within Bengaluru city?

A: Hire is only available in Indiranagar and the CBD area at the moment.

Q: When do I pay the driver partner?

A: You can pay your driver partner the fare at the end of your trip. The amount will reflect on the driver partners phone screen at the end of the trip.

Q: Is the fuel charge taken care of?

A: Yes – we don’t charge extra for fuel.

Q: Is it a 24/7 available product?

A: Yes, you can request a HIRE whenever you want.

Q: How much does an HIRE cost?

A: HIRE will be available for a minimum price of ₹649 for 2 hours (for the first 20 kms) and ₹20/km upto and ₹2/min thereafter.

Q: How do I pay for tolls?

A: Toll charges (if applicable) will be collected at the end of your trip, and will reflect in your final fare. This can be paid to your driver partner directly in cash

Q: What are the cancellation charges?

A: You can cancel your car within 5 minutes of booking (just like you can, in other views like Go, Pool, XL). Post that ₹150 would be charged.

Q: Can I schedule HIRE?

A: Currently, you will not be able to schedule a HIRE ride.

Q: How do I pay for parking?

A: Parking charges have to be paid to your driver partner separately.
