BACK TO SCHOOL

It has always been our mission to connect riders with drivers to provide convenient, reliable and affordable rides at the push of a button. We recently partnered with Katte Foundation in Bangalore to make education accessible for driver partner’s children. From the first batch of applications, 38 children have successfully secured admissions in LKG and 1st grade, and will avail free education till 8th grade.

We are committed to touch all aspects of our driver partners’ lives, benefiting not just their business, but their families too. As a step in this direction, we are partnering with experts to make education and its related resources more accessible for driver partners’ children. In the very first year, the response to our partnership with Katte Foundation has been very encouraging. Close to 100 applications were received and of these, 38 children have successfully secured admissions through RTE across 19 schools like Shanthinikethan, Bangalore Public School, Amarjyothi English Medium, Cambridge School and Gurukula Vidyalaya among others.

In addition to this, we will facilitate initiatives like professional career counselling for children who have completed tenth grade, and provide stationery and school essentials for school-goers. We aim to scale these initiatives to impact hundreds of children across the state by exploring deeper partnerships with Katte foundation and other NGOs that are actively working on Right to Education. In addition to this, we will also work with the Karnataka Government Education Department to further expand this partnership for our driver partners in Bangalore.
