Pune is a city with a lot to offer the discerning traveler. But don’t lose heart just because your stay here is short. With careful planning, you can make the most of your time and still manage to get quite a bit of sightseeing done. Just decide what you’d like to do, hop into an Uber and head out!

If you’re an indulgent traveler, check into the Westin Hotel, one of Pune’s most elite and magnificent hotel. For budget travelers, St. Laurn Hotel in Koregaon Park and Noorya Hometel in Chinchwad are equally good options.

What to see

Pune has several sites that feed all kinds of traveler interests. If you’re into architecture, then stop by the Shaniwar Wada and Aga Khan Palace. If you’re a history buff, head to Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum or the Mahatma Phule Museum. If you’re a foodie, head to the Tertulia for a european breakfast, Goodluck Cafe for a Irani lunch and the High Spirits for one of the best gigs, cocktails and music.

What to do

Plan a day trip and trek to nearby forts/ places and explore the tranquility and serenity these places have to offer! Shopaholics should definitely spend time visiting the pop up flea markets over the weekends. If none of these activities make the cut and you’re looking for something adventurous, head to Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park, near Katraj.
