A tenacity toward delivering an awesome experience for our users is critical to our success, and we’re looking for a Marketing Associate to help us strenghten our marketing efforts and be the voice of Uber for the Croatian market.
The right person will be comfortable in an “all hands on deck” environment, loves solving people problems, is excellent and creating and maintaining a network and can thrive in a startup culture. This role is all about bringing UberLOVE to our users.

- A self-starter. You can see marketing opportunities and run with them. From cold-calling a festival or event, to doing post-promo analysis on how well the event went, you can own a project from start-to-finish and bring Uber to the masses.

- Naturally curious. You love learning how things work and you’re always looking for ways to innovate and improve. You enjoy testing different strategies and tracking the results. When we say A/B testing, you know what we’re talking about!
- Data-driven. You have strong excel skills and can do post-promo analysis on how well a partnership went with your eyes closed.
- A content strategist who can also write copy. Clever phrases and creative concepts aren’t all you care about. You’re passionate about developing sound strategy, determining message hierarchies, and developing user experiences that communicate exactly the right message to the right person at the right time. You don’t sacrifice clarity or simplicity to protect your own precious gems.

Responsibilities
Uber is new to many cities, and it’s your job to spread the word! We use many tools to gain attention: free rides, event partnerships, social media, etc. Bring your creativity!
- Find the pulse of the city and identify new ways to get the Uber experience in front of new users.
- Spread the UberLOVE by creating exciting blog & social media content, and coming up with exciting new partnerships with players in the local scene.
- You’ll be in charge of giving our riders our excellent service and inspiring our growing user base to share the Uber experience.
- Tame upset riders and turn them into passionate evangelists. Respond to emails & support issues promptly. Monitor Twitter, Facebook, Instagram & other relevant sites and actively participate in discussions across communities, social networks & blogs.
- Organize and manage groups of Brand Ambassadors in different cities
- Work closely with our engineering & operations teams to streamline process and assist in intelligently scaling a vibrant business.
Experience
- Robust/active online presence and familiarity with social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
- Solid writing background; experience blogging and/or editing (grammar nerds welcomed).
- Support background a plus.
- Influencer amongst your friends and community.
- Uni degree in Marketing, Public Relations or similar degree is a plus, not required.
