A more reliable way of eating

Even this city that never sleeps has its downtime. During Chinese New Year, many people of Hong Kong will be taking a break from work to spend time with family and loved ones. The same goes for our restaurant and delivery partners, the unsung heroes of our platform. Some of them too, will be taking well-deserved time away from the kitchen, or from their motorbikes.

From today onwards, an extra delivery fee might be imposed to ensure a reliable delivery service if you order from restaurants in areas where demand is high.

When you pop open the UberEATS app, an arrow below the restaurant name will notify you about the additional fee. You’ll always know how much meal delivery will cost before you confirm your order.

These changes are an important step to ensure the speed of delivery that you have come to expect with UberEATS. As always, we will be listening to your feedback so that we can continue to improve your user experience, the restaurants they order from, and the delivery partners who make it all happen.
