The following terms and conditions will apply to the Uber One x Mastercard x Rugby World Cup 2023 promotion
We’re giving Uber One members the chance to win one of two prize packages to Rugby World Cup 2023 courtesy of Mastercard.
Prize Promotion Terms and Conditions:
READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE PARTICIPATING. YOU WILL BE DEEMED TO HAVE ACCEPTED THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND AGREED TO BE BOUND BY THEM WHEN PARTICIPATING IN THIS PROMOTION. AMONG OTHER THINGS, THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS INCLUDE LIMITATIONS OF YOUR RIGHTS AND REMEDIES.
- The Promoter
- The Promoter of this Promotion is Uber Eats (UK), a company registered under the laws of England and Wales (registration number: 10078453) whose registered address is First Floor, Aldgate Tower, 2 Leman Street, London, United Kingdom, E1 8FA.
- Eligibility and Participation
- The following terms and conditions shall exclusively apply to this Rugby World Cup 2023 with Mastercard Prize Promotion (the “Promotion”) for the duration of the Promotion Period.
- The Promotion is open to all U.K. residents aged 18 years or over who have an active Uber One account at the time of entry, except employees of the Promoter, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with the administration of the Promotion. Proof of age and/or identity and/or residency may be required.
- Winners and their guests must be aged 18 or over.
- To enter the Promotion you must:
- Register your interest by opting in via email link, and then complete your entry by using a Mastercard (debit, credit or prepaid) to complete the payment of an Uber Eats order or Uber rides trip during the Promotion Period. One entry allowed per person.
- Promotion Details
- The Rugby World Cup 2023 tournament starts on 8th September and finishes on 28th October 2023 (“Promotion Event”).
- There are two prizes available as part of this Promotion Event (the “Prize Packages”) are as follows:
- 1 x prize consisting of: 1x 4 Day 3 Night trip to Rugby World Cup 2023 – consisting of private transport from one UK address (the winner’s home address) to the closest major airport or Eurostar terminal that provides a direct flight or train (or the next closest where flights are unavailable or sold out) to the location of the match for which winner has won tickets , travel to France, accommodation (double occupancy), meals, shared ground transports, £250 prepaid Mastercard and match tickets to the England v Japan game on 17 September 2023 at the Stade de Nice in Nice.
- 1 x prize consisting of: 1x 4 Day 3 Night trip to Rugby World Cup 2023 – consisting of private transport from one UK address (the winner’s home address) to the closest major airport or Eurostar terminal that provides a direct flight or train (or the next closest where flights are unavailable or sold out) to the location of the match for which winner has won tickets, travel to France, accommodation (double occupancy), meals, shared ground transports, £250 prepaid Mastercard and match tickets to the Final on 28 October 2023 at the Stade de France in Saint Denis.
- One winner will be selected for each prize of the Prize Packages, in accordance with clause 4 (Promotion Period and Notification).
- The Prize Packages (and associated tickets) are as stated and nothing else is included. There is no cash or other alternative for the Prize Packages in whole or in part.
- Prize packages (and associated tickets) are personal to each winner and the sale or offering for sale, transfer, resale, donation, or exchange of any tickets and/or part of any of the Prize Packages is strictly prohibited (including, without limitation, in person or online via an online auction website or online ticket resale marketplace). The Promoter reserves the right to cancel tickets and withdraw or make void any and all elements of the Prize Packages if this term is not complied with.
- Promotion Period and Notification
- The Promotion will open for entries on Saturday 13th May 2023 at 00.01 and shall close on Sunday 18th June 2023 at 23.55 (“Promotion Period”). Entries received after the Promotion Period has closed will automatically be disqualified.
- The Promoter takes no responsibility for entries that are delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.
- The winners will be chosen by a random draw performed by a computer process on Monday 19th June 2023 (“Draw Date”).
- The winners will be notified by email or telephone, using the contact details provided on their Uber account, within three (3) days of the conclusion of the Promotion Period and must respond to the notification to claim their Prize Package within 72 hours. Failure to do this will result in the Prize Packages being forfeited and the Promoter may in its absolute discretion award one or both of the Prize Packages to reserves selected at the same time as the original winners or dispose of the Prize Packages in its discretion without liability to the winners.
- The Prize Packages shall be awarded to each winner within three (3) days upon receipt of any additional details required to transfer the Prize Packages to the winners.
- General
- The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the Promotion is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
- The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any typographical or other error in the administration of the Promotion, errors in processing entries, identifying the winner, announcing the winner or the delivery of the Promotion.
- Entrants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions upon participation in the Promotion. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse participation in the Promotion to anyone in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
- The Promoter reserves the right to modify and amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time during the Promotion Period.
- The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision, or part thereof, of these Terms and Conditions will not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision or part thereof. In the event that any provision, or part thereof, of these Terms and Conditions is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, the other provisions, or parts thereof, will remain in effect and will be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein. Promoter’s failure to enforce any term of these Terms and Conditions will not constitute a waiver of that term or any other provision of these Terms and Conditions.
- In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures or other statements contained in the Promotion–related materials and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail, govern and control and the discrepancy will be resolved in Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion.
- Third Party terms shall apply to this Promotion:
- Each winner and his/her guest(s) as applicable agree to comply with the terms and conditions applicable to the issue and use of tickets from time to time (as available and set out at https://brand.rugbyworldcup.com/Brand/Ticketing/RWCL_StakeholderTicketingTCS.pdf or such other webpage as determined by Rugby World Cup Limited (“RWCL”) from time to time), the tournament organiser (Federation Francaise de Rugby 2023, “FFR2023”) and all applicable venue owner or operator rules and regulations to access Rugby World Cup venues and any other areas associated with Rugby World Cup (including any terms of accreditation determined by RWCL).
- Further each winner and his/her guest(s) acknowledge that he/she may be required to enter into a direct acknowledgement and/or agreement with RWCL and/or FFR2023 concerning use of the tickets and compliance with ticket terms and conditions prior to receiving the prize.
- Winners and/or guests shall not, while using Rugby World Cup tickets, display or publicise any political slogans or homophobic language, images of a lewd or explicitly sexual nature, images containing logos of competitors and overt brand sponsorship or anything else deemed to ambush marketing or an abuse of the Rugby World Cup, content which is defamatory, obscene, illegal, vulgar, offensive or otherwise unsuitable or infringes others’ rights (including intellectual property rights) or reflects negatively upon any of RWCL or the Rugby World Cup. Each entrant agrees and acknowledges that any breach of the above (clause 2) will cause significant damage and loss to RWCL.
- The Promoter may pass personal information relating to prize winners to RWCL and/or FFR2023 (and any of their service providers or agents) for the purposes of monitoring the distribution and use of Rugby World Cup tickets and related experiences and, in the event of a suspect breach of any terms and conditions, rules or regulations or RWCL and/or FFR2023 relating to the use of such tickets and/or experiences, investigating and taking action against such winners.
- This Promotion is run by the Promoter with the permission of RWCL. Accordingly the Promoter is responsible for the operation of and all matters and concerns relating to the Promotion, not RWCL or any other persons involved in staging of Rugby World Cup 2023 (including FFR2023) and World Rugby (formerly the International Rugby Board), all of whom shall not be responsible for or liable to entrants in any way whatsoever in connection with this Promotion
- The Sponsor of this Promotion is Mastercard Europe SA, a Belgian company number RPR 0448.038.446, having its registered office at 189A Chaussee de Tervuren, Waterloo, B 1410 Belgium.
- Promoter, its agents, Sponsor and RWCL do not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the Promotion or as a result of accepting the Prize Packages or any element of the Prize Packages or due to the cancellation of any element of the Prize Packages. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents, Sponsor and RWCLare not liable or responsible for any injury, loss (financial or otherwise) or damage to persons or property arising from or caused by the weather, acts of God, war, accident, pandemic or epidemic and any related government action or any other government restrictions or regulations, or from an act or omission of any individual or condition beyond its control. If delivery of any of the elements of the Prize Packages is delayed or is not able to be delivered due to COVID 19 or any other reason, the winners will be notified by the Promoter as soon as possible. Promoter, its agents, Sponsor and RWCL do not accept any liability for reimbursement of expenses incurred by a winner as a result of participation in the Promotion and in relation to the delay or cancellation of any element of the Prize Packages.
- Personal data supplied during the course of this Promotion to the Promoter will be processed as set out in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy. A copy of their Privacy Policy is available here.
- The terms and conditions of this Promotion, and any disputes arising therefrom, shall be subject to English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts
