The Uber app is available at over 300 airports around the world. Everyday, thousands of riders requests trips to or from an airport in the UK alone.
Airports are often extremely busy. But while we acknowledge there are often pressures at airports, we wanted to remind you that you must obey all airport rules they set.
To help you avoid committing an offence, which in some cases may lead to a fine, or even Uber being required to take action, read on for a list of dos and don’ts for airport pick-ups and drop-offs.
Abuse of airport property
Do not leave any litter or other items behind. Instead, please take any litter with you and ensure you make use of service station or other public toilets outside of the airport.
Skipping airport parking fees
Don’t tailgate other drivers or try to avoid airport parking fees. Airport trip fees are often higher than in other areas and additional fees are factored in to the final fare price paid by your rider through the app.
Working with the airport staff
Aggression or abuse directed towards airport staff will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Pick-ups and drop-offs
If your rider asks to be picked-up or dropped off in a dangerous area or an area forbidden by the airport, contact them and politely tell them why this is not possible and make your way to a safe area.
Parking near to airports
If you park near to an airport, please ensure you are not in an area that causes obstructions or nuisances to local residences. Do not park on private roads, or in commercial car parks or train stations without prior permission.
Airports are a key partner for you and Uber and we take all complaints extremely seriously. Repeated failure to follow airport rules may affect your access to the app. Tap below for more information and advice about picking-up and dropping off riders at airports around the UK.
