Following the decision on 16 October 2014 regarding the advertising and promotion of Uber’s ridesharing solution uberPOP in France, Uber continues to operate uberPOP while it appeals some specific parts of the decision.

Uber is committed to bringing affordability, choice, quality and safety to France’s transport system, we will continue to engage with stakeholders on how we can help to create the smart cities of the future.

Since Uber launched its ridesharing solution uberPOP in Paris almost a year ago, Uber has seen the demand for its low-cost peer-to-peer service expand to six French cities, with hundreds of thousands of users relying on the service to get around their city.
