As of February 20th, 2025, all independent drivers in the Helsinki area will transition from the use of Go Pass to a 25% service fee, which will be applied on a trip-by-trip basis. Based on the feedback we have received from drivers, we believe this change will better meet your needs and expectations.
We also understand how important it is for you to have access to trip details, including the fare, (distance to) pickup- and dropoff locations, before accepting a trip request. That’s why this feature will continue to be available even after the transition from Go Pass to a service fee model, and it will also become available for those driving under a fleet partner.
Q: Why are you deprecating Go Pass?
A: We are always listening to feedback and trying to provide the best possible experience for drivers who use the Uber app to receive additional trip requests. Your insights regarding driving with the Go Pass model have highlighted an area where we can improve, and this change aligns with our ongoing mission to be the best platform for flexible earning opportunities.
Q: Will I continue to be able to see all trip details before accepting a trip?
A: Yes, you will continue to be able to see trip details, including fare, pick-up and drop-off location before accepting a trip. This feature will also become available for those driving under a fleet partner.
Q: When is this change going to take place?
A: The transition from Go Pass to a service fee will happen on February 20th, 2025.
Q: What will happen if I have an active Go Pass at the time of deprecation?
A: If you have an active Go Pass at the time of the transition, you can continue using it until it expires. Once the pass expires, a service fee will apply.
