UberPITCH – Celebrating Entrepreneurship Across Europe

During the last week, Uber brought UberPITCH to 37 cities across Europe, including Zurich. We connected entrepreneurs with investors from EQT Ventures, celebrating innovation and BIG Ideas.

Congratulations to the winning idea from Switzerland:

The innovative new booking platforms for artists and bookers alike. Optune makes the business of booking artists easier, more efficient and more enjoyable. Bookings are handled online and end-to-end. Optune is unique in the fact that both bookers and artists are equally represented on the platform, thereby opening up new channels of communication for all parties while simultaneously handling the obstructive administrative tasks involved in negotiating bookings. The platform fundamentally simplifies the booking process: from instantly checking the availability of artists to negotiating contracts, intelligently suggesting new artists and handling secure transactions, every aspect of a deal will be facilitated using Optune.

Optune is a startup by the new company Oscillate AG, which is already operating successfully in the market in the form of a website generator for artists: onescreener.com. Optune has already been able to secure a first seed funding round, and is currently testing a beta version in collaboration with various experts from the clubbing scene.

Spoontano is a social dining platform that allows same day sign-up for dinners with up to 5 new people. The platform connects the groups automatically to a trendy restaurant with availability for that evening. Target customers are young professionals wanting to expand their existing networks (i.e. not just singles).
