More and more people are using Uber all over the world, and for us it is very important to have new features on the app that can help the users’ experience. We always want to be closer to everybody’s needs.
One of the function that was most requested is the possibility to share payment methods between family or close friends. That’s the reason why we are very happy to announce the arrival of the “Family profile” feature. The “family profile” feature offers the possibility, for a family group of maximum 10 people, to share the same payment method in a very simple and reliable way.
How does it work?
For the owner /administrator of the Family profile:
- Make sure you have the latest version of the app
- Go into “Settings” on the left side menu
- Add the Family profile and add the contact(s) you want to invite
- As soon as the contact(s) you have selected will accept the invitation they will start using the Family profile to pay for their rides
- The costs of the rides will be automatically deducted from the payment method linked to the Family profile and you will receive the receipts of the rides taken by the people that are in the same Family group
For the user who will be invited to the Family profile:
- Open the invitation e-mail you will receive and accept it
- Make sure you have the latest version of the app and choose Family as a default method of payment
- Once selected, you will be able to use Uber as usual
It has never been easier to share the #UberLove with the people that you like the most!
