“Uber had been a blessing for my family and myself. I lost my job as a mid level manager in the oil and gas. My driving for Uber kept me out of [the] EI line and helped me pay my bills and my mortgage. All the riders used to hear my story and would take my resume with the promise to help. At first I was a bit apprehensive about taking strangers in my car. But after the first couple of trips, I realized how much I enjoyed driving, meeting new people, [and] learning new things. 99 % of the riders are very courteous and appreciative.
