The Melbourne Cup is the race that stops the nation – but Uber will be there to keep over 70,000 racegoers moving across all four days of the nation’s biggest annual event.
Getting to Flemington
As Uber is the only rideshare operator at the Melbourne Cup Carnival, you’ll experience seamless drop-offs and pickups at the Uber Zone at the three main gates. There’s plenty of fun stuff happening at the Uber Zones, and we’ve teamed up again with DrinkWise to provide complimentary bottled water and with Schweppes to dish out free non-alcoholic drinks.
Arrive in style with Uber Premier 
You’ll already be dressed to the nines – so why not book a ride that’s as good as your look? Get there with elevated comfort and style and arrive in a high-end, luxury car with Uber Premier.
Taking a little longer to get ready? With extended wait times your driver can even wait up to 10 minutes with Uber Premier.
Time for the afterparty?
When you’re ready to depart Flemington, Uber staff will be onsite at the Uber Zones to help keep you moving as quickly as possible. Instead of requesting a ride in your app, an Uber staff member will help you request a PIN which will be matched with your driver.
Uber Chopper—the fastest way off the track
Beat the traffic and take to the skies, with Uber Chopper on Demand. Thanks to our friends Microflite, we’re offering race-goers a daily helicopter service from the Rose Gate at Flemington Racecourse to the Melbourne Helipad at Batman Park (opposite Crown Casino).
Chopper rides are priced at $1,000 one way for an entire chopper, seating up to six passengers or 500kgs. Be quick—only a limited number of Uber Chopper on Demand rides are available on each race day.
How it works:
Head towards the Rose Gate and visit the Chopper Lounge.
Once you’ve checked in with our staff, open your Uber app and select the ‘Chopper’ option.
Set your destination to ‘Crown’ and accept the payment option.
Your Uber Chopper will soon be ready for take-off: strap yourself in and enjoy the ride!

The Melbourne Cup Carnival takes over Flemington Racecourse from 2-9 November, with an expected crowd of over 300,000 fans and fashionistas strutting their way through the event across the four race days:
Derby Day – Saturday 2 November
A fusion of monochrome fashion, first-class racing and celebrations
Melbourne Cup Day – Tuesday 5 November
The feature of Cup Week, and a must-do sporting spectacle to witness live.
Oaks Day – Thursday 7 November
A day that’s all about style, where racegoers can escape and enjoy the action on and off the field.
Stakes Day – Saturday 9 November
On the final race day, the pace off the track softens for a family-friendly day out.
