Calling All Newcastle Drivers

We’ve been blown away by the number of applicants we’ve had to join the Uber platform in Newcastle. Although the launch of Uber Newcastle is still on the horizon, we’re excited to announce that Novocastrians now have the opportunity to drive in Sydney – and we’ve got great incentives to make it worth your while.

We’ll be onboarding Newcastle drivers this Wednesday 10th December at the Merewether Bowling Club from 10am-5pm.

Uber partner-drivers are extremely busy in Sydney, especially in December. We’re giving Newcastle drivers the opportunity to make the trip down to Sydney to benefit from this huge holiday season demand, and get acquainted with the Uber system.

Many of our partners earn more than $2000 per week. These earnings will only increase in December.

HOURLY GUARANTEE: We guarantee you’ll earn at least $30/hour in fares for all peak hours until Christmas Day. In reality, the best partners are already earning well above $30 per hour in fares, with a number of partners taking home $2000+ last week.

For example, if you drive for 6 hours in Sydney from 5pm-11pm on a Friday and Saturday night, you’ll make a minimum $360 in fares guaranteed. If you drive across 30 peak hours during the week, we’ll guarantee you a minimum $900 in fares. See more detail on the guarantee here.

$250 SIGN-ON INCENTIVE: All Newcastle drivers who complete 20 uberX trips in Sydney before NYE will receive an additional $250 sign-on incentive!

$50 WEEKLY NEWCASTLE INCENTIVE: We want to show our appreciation for Newcastle partners making the effort to join and support the Uber platform in Sydney. That’s why we’ll be paying you an additional $50 weekly incentive if you drive at least 5 peak hours per week in Sydney.
