In June 2025 we held our first bi-annual Driver-partner Advisory Forum in Sydney for the 2025-2026 cycle, with new driver-partner Advisors from across Australia to discuss the topics: Uber support for driver-partners (phone/chat), Airport Trips and the Uber Pro (bp fuel partnership).
This was our first forum with the new group of Advisors and we’re very excited to engage with them over the next two years. Uber’s Managing Director, Emma Foley, as well as other members of the Uber Australia team were at the forum to hear feedback from Advisors on improving their driving experience with Uber.

‘Have Your Say’ Survey Report
We want to thank the 2,016 driver-partners who shared their feedback on the topics prior to the forum. These insights helped shape the discussions on the day of the forum, with advisors bringing in feedback from driver-partners across Australia.
What we heard from the survey:
1. Driver-partners want a faster, more empathetic resolution from the Uber Support team.
2. The quality of the Uber support is most important to driver-partners rather than the channel (messaging, phone, chat)
3. Driver-partners want Uber to improve the airport experience, especially wait time in between trips, and how trips are prioritised

What we heard during the Forum
Uber Support
Uber support was a key topic at the first Advisory Forum, with Advisors sharing their own personal feedback along with results from the ‘Have Your Say’ survey.
Summary
- Advisors mentioned that Uber support was responsive when dealing with some issues such as cleaning fees and tolls, however they did not feel that support was fast enough when dealing with high priority issues like earnings. Additionally, the support experience can sometimes feel disjointed, and advisors suggested that there is a need for more consistent and empathetic resolutions.
- Advisors discussed the importance of ratings protection and appreciated that this is in place and that support considers rider history when a driver-partner receives a low rating. However, they suggested further improvements to better safeguard driver-partners from ratings that are outside of their control.
Airports Trips
The airport experience for driver-partners was a key topic at the forum. Advisors shared detailed insights into subtopics like airport facilities, the drop off experience, waiting for new trips, and navigating through airport pickup
Summary
- Advisors spoke about the in-app experience at the airport and some of the features that are live at different airports in Australia. They also made some suggestions of additional features that would be useful for the airport driving experience.
- Advisors in bigger cities like Gold Coast, Melbourne and Canberra said that the drop off experience was working well and noted that some holding lots had good amenities for driver-partners when waiting. There were some airports where the advisors noted that an improvement to facilities would be welcomed for both driver-partners and riders.
- Some advisors also mentioned that they experienced issues with congestion and long wait times at pick up points at their local airports.
Uber Pro – bp fuel reward
During the forum, advisors gave feedback on theUber Pro bp fuel reward. They provided insight on what driver-partners value along with suggestions for how the rewards could be improved.
Summary
- Advisors also mentioned that there is sometimes low awareness of available Uber Pro offers and that improved communication would be helpful to ensure driver-partners are aware of available offers.
- Advisors noted that the limited-time offers, like the 14cpl BP fuel discount across all tiers, were well-received
- There were suggestions to include more food and drink options throughout all BP locations as part of the Uber Pro benefits.
What’s next?
The second Advisory Forum will be held in November 2025. To get involved and provide feedback on your experience with driving with the Uber app, you can book a session with an Advisor via ‘Open Hours’ and answer the ‘Have Your Say’ Survey. Instructions on how to participate in both will be sent to your Driver app inbox soon. Keep an eye out for them!
