What’s new?
Long trip notifications
The dispatch screen will let you know when a long trip has been requested. No more surprises.
How it works:
- If a trip is estimated to be 45 minutes or longer, you will see “Long Trip” on the request screen.
- Accept the trip or tap “No Thanks” to move on to the next trip.
Turn down trip requests
You can say “no thanks” to a trip request without worrying about how it will affect your earnings.
Trip type preferences
When ride requests are slow, you can make the most of your time by switching from giving rides to delivering food on UberEATS.
How it works:
- Download the latest version of the Driver app.
- Tap the menu icon at the top of your screen.
- Tap the gear icon.
- Select the trip types you’d like to receive.
- Update your preferences anytime, even when you’re on a trip.
More Driver Destinations
You can now use Driver Destinations 6 times throughout the day (up from 2) to earn on the way to places you want to be.
How it works:
- Open the Driver app.
- Tap the menu icon at the top of your screen.
- Set your destination by tapping the blue button.
- Search for your location and tap the set as your destination.
- Now Uber will only match you with trips headed toward your destination.
Arrival times for destinations
Set a preferred arrival time for each destination and we’ll help you reach it on time.
How it works:
- Once you set a destination, tap Add Arrival Time.
- Select the time you want to arrive at your destination.
- When it’s time to start driving toward your destination, we’ll let you know and the top bar of the Driver app will turn orange.
