If you’re heading to Abu Dhabi from Dubai this weekend, now you can take to the skies! We’ve teamed up with Alpha Tours to bring you UberCHOPPER helicopter routes to Yas Island so you can skip the traffic and arrive in style for your Grand Prix experience.
Starting at noon on Wednesday, November 22, Uber users can request the UberCHOPPER Abu Dhabi Shuttle and pre-book one of two flight options at the tap of a button.
With every pre-booked UberCHOPPER flight, transportation will be included from your pick-up point in Dubai to the helipad at Atlantis The Palm, where you’ll take off directly for Yas Marina Circuit gates. In less than 30 min you’ll arrive, and you can request an Uber to pick you up from the Yas Links helipad.

Please note these are one-way flights only. Uber cars will be operating in Abu Dhabi throughout the race weekend, so when you’re ready to depart Yas Island, just open your app and request a ride.
How to book your UberCHOPPER to Abu Dhabi:
- Open your Uber app and tap ‘UberCHOPPER Abu Dhabi’ on the home screen
- Confirm your location and press the request button at the bottom of the screen
- We’ll give you a call for final confirmation
- You will receive Uber ride credits for transportation to the Atlantis helipad 30 minutes before your scheduled departure
- Enjoy the short ride to Yas Island
- An Uber will be available upon arrival at Yas Links Helipad to take you to the Grand Prix destination of your choice
- Pay for the trip the same way you would for an Uber car—it’s automatic and hassle-free via the Uber app
Package and pricing:
- AED2000 per person
- Includes AED200 in Uber credits to use for rides to and from the helipads
- Flights accommodate up to 6 people (each seat must be booked separately)
- Uber is not a direct air carrier
- All air services advertised will be provided by Alpha Tours

- Demand will be high; keep trying if you are unable to book right away
- Be prepared to arrive 30 minutes before departure for a safety briefing
- Please note that UberCHOPPER flights from Dubai will require security clearance ahead of departure (details below)
