It’s that time of year again—love is in the air, single folks are unaware, and the happy couples are everywhere! If you haven’t figured it out yet, it’s February, which means that everyone in a relationship is already planning or dreaming of their perfect Valentine’s Day date—and Dubai is one of the perfect places to spend it.
There are almost too many romantic places in Dubai for couples on Valentine’s Day, whether you’re on the beach, exploring the sights in the city center, or out of town in the deserts and nature reserves. If you forgot all about the existence of February 14th until just now, don’t panic! We’ve put together a selection of the best romantic things to do in Dubai for Valentine’s Day—and we’ll be available every step of the way to make sure the day is as perfect as possible.
The perfect walking route
There’s nothing quite like a romantic walk on Valentine’s Day: enjoying the sights and fresh air alongside some pleasant conversation. There are few better backdrops for a stroll than Dubai’s gorgeous beaches: Jumeirah beach is the perfect length for a walk, and you can dip in and out of the water or enjoy a beachfront restaurant—whenever you want. Alternatively, Al Mamzar Beach offers a quieter beach experience with plenty of unique food stalls, while the serene and green Mamzar Beach Park is just next door.
A couple’s massage
After a long walk and a light lunch on the beach, there are few better romantic couple’s activities than a joint massage. And in Dubai, there’s always a spa nearby. Make sure you’ve got an appointment and when it’s time, request a ride to the spa – or simply schedule one in advance to surprise your partner. A few hours of pampering are sure to make your loved one feel special!
Romantic dining
No Valentine’s Day is complete without a candle-lit dinner. Fortunately, spending Valentine’s Day in Dubai means that there are seemingly limitless opportunities for a romantic evening meal. The Burj Khalifa allows you to take full advantage of Dubai’s soaring skyline—it’s the perfect way to make your partner’s head spin, in a good way, of course! The modern European menu will not disappoint, with a range of delicious culinary options for you and your partner to try. But you don’t necessarily have to scale the heights to get a pleasant view of Dubai’s stunning scenery, take an Uber Black to get to Palm Jumeirah and arrive in style at 101 Dining, where you can view admire the city skyline from their open-air, luxury marina restaurant.
Smell the roses
Of course, the end of the night can be the most important part of Valentine’s Day. If you can get there before the sun sets, the Dubai Miracle Garden is one of the most romantic places for couples to spend their evening. Amongst the sweet-smelling flowers and beautiful displays, not to mention all the hearts, it’s difficult not to feel loved up! Make sure you plan ahead as the garden is only open until 9pm on weekdays, whereas the last call on weekends is 11pm.
And for the single people…
Don’t worry single folk, we haven’t forgotten you! This is often a time of year that single people try to forget exists, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Valentine’s Day is the perfect day to celebrate the best things about being single! Why not gather your friends, grab an uberXL, and hit the town? Go shopping and eat at the Dubai mall, enjoy some snow sports at Ski Dubai, or dance the night away at some of Dubai’s best nightlife venues. And who knows, you might even meet your future Valentine’s Day partner along the way!
Whether you’re looking for romantic places and things to do with your other half or living the high-life with your closest friends, make sure to plan ahead and enjoy Valentine’s Day in Dubai!
