On every list of fun days out in Dubai, you’ll find a trip to the famous Mall of the Emirates. We’ve put together a guide to the Mall of the Emirates shops and entertainment options, and how to make the most of them.
Getting there
The Mall of the Emirates has a reputation as one of the best spots for Dubai shopping, but that also means parking is competitive. When you request a ride with Uber, you don’t have to worry about finding a spot; there are dedicated drop-off points at three different sides of the mall, so all you’ve got to do is decide where you want to start.
Shopping
Once you’re inside, it’s time to show off your shopping skills. There are around 630 different brands with outlets in the Mall of the Emirates, so all you need is a lot of free time or good decision-making abilities. Choose your stops wisely, with fashion, electronics, homeware and, well, anything you can imagine on offer. There’s even a dedicated Luxury Wing, which houses around 80 of the world’s top designers.

Eating
Can’t decide what you want to eat? Don’t worry, the Mall of the Emirates will have it. There are more than 90 eating options inside, ranging from fast food to fine dining. There are sit-down restaurants serving every style of cuisine, as well as dedicated dessert restaurants and cafés, which make the perfect pit stops when you need a quick caffeine boost to fuel the rest of your day.
Entertainment
Malls aren’t just made for shopping—at least not in Dubai. The Mall of the Emirates is also home to the impressive Magic Planet family entertainment area, which has everything from trampolines to arcade games. There’s also a 14-screen VOX cinema and a community theatre and arts center, as well as the Middle East’s first indoor ski resort.
Home time
If you need a little time to unwind after a hard day’s shopping, you can enjoy free drinks and snacks in the complimentary rider lounge. You’ll find it near the main pick-up and drop-off area, right by the Fashion Dome. Once you’re ready to drop, you can request Uber to pick you up. There are three dedicated pick-up points, so you won’t have to worry about wandering around the car park looking for your ride, and you can even request an UberXL if you’ve come away with considerably more bags than when you started.
With everything from your ride to your itinerary covered, all you’ve got to do is grab your shopping list and get going!
