Dubai has been one of the top vacation spots globally, and with one of the world’s busiest airports, it’s no wonder nearly half of all Uber users in the city are tourists.
In the welcoming spirit of Dubai, we wanted to make it as easy as possible for visitors to connect with reliable, convenient transportation. Starting August 1, when you purchase a mobile Tourist SIM from du (priced at AED55), you’ll receive a promo code valid for 20% off four Uber rides.
How it works:
- Purchase a du Tourist SIM pack
- Download the Uber app from the App store or Play store and sign up
- If you’re already signed up, just open the Uber app and enter the promo code by clicking on ‘Payment’ from the menu, and under ‘Promotions’, click on ‘Add promo/gift code’
- When you need a ride, request an Uber and call your driver using your new Tourist SIM to make sure you meet at the right location*
- The 20% discount will be automatically applied
*Do not change your original phone number in Uber app settings. To contact the driver make a call from your Tourist SIM using free minutes to avoid roaming charges.
The details:
- You only need to enter the promo code once, and the 20% discount will apply on your next four rides
- The remaining 80% can be paid via your credit card or cash
- For details on how to use the app, select Help from the app menu “How to use Uber”
- Valid on trips in Dubai
- Max discount AED20 per trip
- Rides available on UberSELECT, UberBLACK, UberVIP and UberXL
Welcome to Dubai!
