Uber Shuttle Packages Terms and Conditions – Egypt

These terms and conditions govern your purchase and use of Uber Shuttle Packages, which is a limited subscription (the "Program" or “Uber Shuttle Packages”) offered by Uber Technologies Egypt LLC, (“UTE” or “we”). UTE provides technologically innovative land transport of individuals using high-capacity vehicles (“HCV”) or other types of vehicles transporting one or more passengers. All benefits and discounts offered under the Program are offered on an "as available" basis, contingent upon service availability and other contingencies which may impact the availability of some benefits at certain times and places. Uber Shuttle Packages are provided in connection with use of the Uber or Uber Shuttle apps.

1. Incorporation.

These Uber Shuttle Packages Terms and Conditions ("Uber Shuttle Packages Terms") are expressly incorporated into and made a part of the Uber Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Uber's Community Guidelines and the Uber Cash and Underpayments Terms and Conditions (collectively the “Uber Terms”). In the event of any conflict between these Uber Shuttle Packages Terms and the Uber Terms, these Uber Shuttle Packages Terms shall govern as applied to the subject matter herein. Subject to the foregoing, undefined, capitalized terms in these Uber Shuttle Packages Terms will have the meaning set forth in the Uber Terms.

By purchasing Uber Shuttle Packages you agree to these Uber Shuttle Packages Terms, as well as any other specific terms of the offer you received (the “Offer”), which may include important details and restrictions, including, but not limited to, where and when Uber Shuttle Packages may be used, the Rate and Packages Benefits (as defined below), and the validity period and number of trips under the package (the “Validity”). Please refer to your Offer for details before purchasing Uber Shuttle Packages.

2. How Uber Shuttle Packages Work.

Uber Shuttle Packages is a paid service provided by UTE that entitles the user to pricing benefits in relation to services provided by Uber in a specific geographic area for the duration of the Uber Shuttle Packages, as set forth in your Offer (“Packages Benefits”). The details for the applicable promotions (and any applicable limitations) shall be set forth in your Offer and stated to you when you sign up for Uber Shuttle Packages, including but not limited to the billing rate for the Uber Shuttle Packages (“Rate”) and the billing interval (“Billing Cycle”). Packages Benefits do not cover applicable tax or optional gratuities. The total price of the Uber Shuttle Packages shall be presented to you at the time of purchase. Packages Benefits may be subject to applicable limitations. Packages Benefits are subject to the availability of the services in your geographic area.

3. Charges and Auto Renewals.

When you purchase Uber Shuttle Packages, you will be charged the Rate for the Validity of your selected Uber Shuttle Package on the date of purchase, which will activate your Uber Shuttle Packages, save as otherwise stipulated herein.

UTE may offer you the option to auto-renew your Uber Shuttle Packages within the Uber app. Auto-renewal is only available where you have added a debit card or credit card (or such other payment method accepted by Uber from time to time) as a payment method in your Uber Wallet in the Uber app. You may opt to have one of these payment methods automatically charged to renew your Uber Shuttle Packages. If you elect to auto-renew, YOUR UBER SHUTTLE PACKAGES WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH BILLING CYCLE OR ON EXPIRATION OF THE VALIDITY OF YOUR PACKAGE BENEFITS, AND THE RATE FOR YOUR UBER SHUTTLE PACKAGES WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED TO YOUR SELECTED PAYMENT METHOD. You may choose to turn off the auto-renewal feature any time before the next charge by toggling off the auto renewal option in your Uber Wallet under subscriptions, otherwise the auto-renewal amount you have selected will continue unless and until you elect to turn it off. Auto renewal will be cancelled upon completion of the then current Uber Shuttle Package.

If your selected payment method is declined, UTE will prompt you for a new payment method. UTE is not responsible for any fees charged by the cardholder's bank including, but not limited to, overdraft fees, insufficient funds fees, interest charges, foreign exchange fees, cross border fees, and other penalties levied by the cardholder's bank.

If you select to pay your Uber Shuttle Packages in cash, you will be asked to pay the Rate in cash before the first eligible trip that you take with your Uber Shuttle Packages. If you do not pay the Rate before that first trip, the third party service provider may refuse your trip request and ask you to off-board the vehicle if you do not have another payment method available including another valid Uber Shuttle Package. You may cancel your Uber Shuttle Package at any time before you request your first eligible trip using the Uber Shuttle Package.

4. Changes to your Uber Shuttle Packages.

UTE reserves the right to modify or stop offering Uber Shuttle Packages, or change Packages Benefits or Rates, at any time in its sole discretion. If your Rate increases or your Packages Benefits materially change, we will honor your existing Uber Shuttle Package until its Validity runs out.

UTE may terminate your Uber Shuttle Packages at our discretion without notice. Where you are entitled for a refund where required by applicable law, please contact customer service by way of the Uber app. We will not give any refund for termination related to conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Uber Shuttle Packages Terms, Uber's Terms of Use, Uber’s Community Guidelines, any applicable law, or involves fraud or misuse of the Uber Shuttle Packages. UTE, at its discretion, may terminate your Uber Shuttle Packages effective at the end of the Validity of the Uber Shuttle Package by providing you notice of such termination. If that happens, you will have access to your Packages Benefits until the end of their Validity.

5. Combining Promotions.

Notwithstanding the terms and conditions of other promotions offered through Uber Shuttle, UTE in its sole discretion may permit Packages Benefits to be combined with other promotions and subject to applicable law.

6. Free Trial.

UTE and/or third parties on behalf of UTE may offer some users a free trial or other promotional entitlement to Uber Shuttle Packages. Such trial or promotional entitlement is subject to these Uber Shuttle Packages Terms except as otherwise stated in the Offer. Only one trial or promotional entitlement is available per user. Free trial eligibility is determined by UTE at its sole discretion and Uber may limit such eligibility or duration to prevent free trial abuse. Certain limitations may exist with respect to combining a free trial with any other offers.

7. Changes to These Uber Shuttle Packages Terms.

UTE reserves the right to modify these Uber Shuttle Packages Terms. If we make material changes while you have an active Uber ShuttlePackage, we will notify you either in the hub and/or via email. Revised Uber Shuttle Packages Terms become effective upon notification to you and your continued use of Uber Shuttle Packages constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

8. Transfer of Rights.

UTE 's rights and obligations under the Uber Shuttle Packages Terms may be assigned or transferred by UTE to any other related or unrelated entity at any time, and performances shall be the responsibility of that entity.

9. Disclaimer.

All interpretations of these Uber Shuttle Packages Terms will be at UTE's sole discretion and UTE's decisions will be final.

Uber Shuttle Packages and/or any of its features may be unavailable, inaccurate or interrupted from time to time for a variety of reasons. We are not responsible for any unavailability, interruptions or errors of the Program or its features that are outside of UTE’s reasonable control. UTE may from time to time request information from you to confirm your identity. UTE may delay your access to Uber Shuttle Packages until you comply with this information request. Uber Shuttle Packages and all the information accessible through it are provided for information purposes only on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We, our information providers and their agents make no warranties, representations, or guarantees of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to, accuracy, currency, or completeness, the operation of Uber ShuttlePackages, the information, materials, content, availability, and products. Uber Shuttle Packages and these Uber Shuttle Packages Terms are provided by UTE and do not modify the contractual relationships among or between the individuals and entities that could be used to offer our services, and UTE, except as expressly set forth herein. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to, implied warranties or merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, as well as liability for delays, lost profit, or property damage.
