Copenhagen – The world’s happiest city, gastronomic mecca of the Nordics, where bicycles line the walls of minimalist design studios and Royal castles alike. With the arrival of Uber, the world’s most liveable city just got a little bit better.

Back from Brooklyn to her Danish roots, Nanna Øland Fabricius of Oh Land was lucky enough to grab Copenhagen’s first Uber. With just a tap of a button, she requested a ride and before she knew it, a sleek Mercedes S-Class arrived to whisk her away through the cobblestone streets of her home town.

UberBLACK is your on-demand private driver. Uber partners with the licensed limousine professionals, driving luxury vehicles like a Mercedes E or S-Class. Pricing is consistent and transparent, and riders can get a fare estimate for a given route before requesting a ride. When the ride is over, hop out and be on with your way, because the fare is automatically charged to your credit card. A receipt is automatically emailed to you with the traveling time and GPS data of the route. Both the rider and driver rate each other from 1 to 5 stars, which allows us maintain the highest service quality.

Following the success of uberPOP in Sweden and across Europe, Uber is beginning a 6 month pilot phase of the platform in Copenhagen. The view will be limited to a restricted set of users, and we will share the results of this experiment with the public. uberPOP is a friendly, low-cost ridesharing platform. uberPOP enables car owners to make better use of their cars and to recover the costs of owning it while helping the community and the environment. All drivers hold a valid driving license, are vetted and insured, and screened by Uber. Every car, driver, and trip is fully insured.

During our testing phase, car availability will be limited and ETAs may be longer than usual. Don’t worry — we’re working hard to get more Ubers on the system.
