Operations Manager - Driver

Location: Athens, Greece

About the Role

This is a unique, high-impact opportunity to drive the growth and scale of Uber's mobility business in Greece. As the Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in executing an ambitious roadmap designed to meet our business growth and expansion targets.

We are seeking a strategic, data-driven operator who thrives in ambiguity and can seamlessly move between high-level problem solving and hands-on execution. You will lead critical cross-functional initiatives across supply growth, marketplace reliability, partnerships, and product innovation to unlock incremental trip volume and revenue. Your work will directly focus on high-impact outcomes: owning trip growth, revenue acceleration, and supply expansion.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive Strategic Growth: Lead and execute supply growth and engagement initiatives to ensure sustainable network expansion. You’ll work closely with local partner dispatchers to expand fleet coverage and driver adoption.
  • Optimize the Marketplace: Identify, analyze, and solve core marketplace challenges, such as dispatch inefficiencies and low acceptance rates, to ensure every rider gets a ride and every driver maximizes their earnings.
  • Product Innovation & Launch: Manage the end-to-end launch of new product features. You will serve as the operational voice for Greece in global product discussions, influencing the roadmap with on-the-ground insights.
  • Data-Driven Problem Solving: Rigorously monitor business metrics and marketplace performance. You’ll conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover root causes and translate those insights into proactive, executed solutions.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Define and prioritize initiatives using data to improve reliability and increase trip volume, owning the project lifecycle from initial concept to implementation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience applying rigorous analysis to solve complex business problems (e.g., consulting, investment banking, finance, tech, or operations).
  • Analytical Mindset: Proven data-driven decision-making mentality and sound business judgment.
  • Execution & Ownership: A self-starter who can identify opportunities and proactively drive implementation. You are a "doer" who thrives on mobilizing people and resolving problems.
  • Adaptability: High adaptability to change, with the resourcefulness to move quickly and embrace continuous iteration and experimentation.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel, working effectively with diverse functions and regional teams.
  • Technical Skills: AI aficionado; Excellent proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of SQL is preferred.
  • Languages: Full professional fluency in both English and Greek is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Partnership Management: Experience in Business Development or External Key Account Management (KAM), specifically building trust with local networks (e.g., RadioTaxi operations).
  • Advanced Analytics: Experience with statistical packages or basic programming skills to measure performance and prepare business reviews.
  • Project Management Mastery: Exceptional organizational skills with a track record of execution in a constantly changing, complex environment.
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Experience engaging with Policy, Communications, Product, Marketing, and Legal to move the needle on local business goals.
