About the Role

Uber Eats is looking for a Merchandising Operations Manager to support the Retail line of business. In this role, you will help create a best-in-class in-app shopping experience through curated assortments, thoughtful content strategies, and operational excellence.

You will be part of a collaborative team focused on scaling local merchandising efforts across Central and South America. This role combines data analysis, experimentation, and cross-functional collaboration to drive impactful customer experiences and support business growth. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, adaptable, and excited to improve how customers discover and shop for retail products on Uber Eats.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the execution of in-app merchandising strategies, including seasonal campaigns, curated landing pages, homepage visibility, and product prioritization.
  • Analyze merchandising and selection performance using SQL and other analytical tools to generate insights that inform strategy, optimize campaigns, and improve merchant performance.
  • Build dashboards, automate reporting processes, and help develop scalable frameworks to measure content and selection performance.
  • Conduct audits and deep dives into user experience (UX), visibility gaps, and operational inconsistencies across cities and countries.
  • Support experimentation initiatives by running and interpreting A/B tests and measuring the impact of content or selection changes on customer behavior and conversion.
  • Identify opportunities to improve merchant engagement, merchandising quality, and customer journey outcomes through data-driven recommendations.
  • Contribute to playbooks, standard operating procedures, and internal documentation that support operational excellence and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Marketing, Sales, Retail, Product, and Operations to localize strategies, test new features, and align on business priorities.

What You'll Need

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in retail, e-commerce, merchandising, digital marketing, category management, business analysis, or data analysis.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Google Sheets.
  • Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to collaborate across regional and global teams.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a technology company, startup environment, or the grocery, convenience, or retail industry.
  • Familiarity with experimentation frameworks, including A/B testing and performance measurement methodologies.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain insights, strategies, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple functions and working with teams such as Marketing, Retail, Sales, Product, and Operations.
