About the Role

The Retail Vertical is a fast-growing channel within Uber that enables consumers to get just about anything delivered through the Uber Eats app or UberEats.com. As a Senior Strategic Operations Manager of Merchandising, you will be directly responsible for curating the consumer shopping experience across all of the Retail merchants that make up the Retail business in US&C. You will directly contribute to our efforts to improve the experience and growth across New Verticals, ensuring a seamless discovery and shopping experience for consumers on our app - all while implementing tools & processes to make our merchandising operations more efficient and effective.

You will work cross-functionally with other teams (i.e. Operations, Product, Account Management, Marketing, and Legal) to lead high-impact initiatives that can scale across the US & Canada mega-region while offering ownership and autonomy over your work as we exponentially grow this new arm of the Uber Eats business.

What You’ll Do

  • Own strategy through execution: Ideate, design, build and implement plans to optimize ‌the way that consumers are able to find what they are looking for across the Retail sections of Uber Eats
  • Merchandising calendar and Promotional plans: Work with key CPG merchants to develop and manage merchandising calendars, planning key retail moments and other promotional offers to maximize reach, relevance and impact; ensure that campaigns align with product strategies, regional, cultural, and seasonal trends
  • Data analysis: Design, execute and automate processes to run and optimize the in-app shopping experience for some of the largest retailers in US&C. You will autonomously build your own analyses and dashboards to measure your projects' success
  • Experiment: Perform analysis and experiments to find growth opportunities for the New Verticals business
  • Project Management: Identify, plan, and implement projects alongside product counterparts to enhance the consumer shopping experience, and improve storefront conversion
  • Stakeholder Management: Orchestrate and bring together the work of a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders including Operations, Product, Account Management, Marketing, and Legal while driving accountability to ensure deadlines are met
  • Be voice of the customer and merchant internally: Be the eyes and ears to our product teams for the features that we need for next year’s big bets, helping to prioritize future changes to the in-app shopping experience, and you'll help launch all the new product features as we go to market
