Software Engineer II

About the Role

We are seeking a Software Engineer || role to lead the design and development of core data infrastructure and services that deliver real-time, high-quality metrics to our merchant ecosystem and related UI platforms. This is a high-impact role offering broad technical scope, strong ownership, and visibility across engineering, product, and data science teams.

---- What the Candidate Will Do ----

  1. Design and implement scalable full-stack systems that power data-driven products, ensuring immutability, freshness, accuracy, cost efficiency, and security across use cases.
  2. Develop and maintain performant backend services using Java, Go, or Scala, and build responsive, intuitive frontend experiences with modern web frameworks.
  3. Design low-latency data and analytics solutions leveraging technologies such as Apache Pinot, Apache Kafka, and Uber’s Real-Time Aggregator (RTA).
  4. Collaborate closely with product, data, and platform teams to translate complex business requirements into reliable and scalable engineering solutions.
  5. Participate in system design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions, ensuring high-quality, maintainable code across the stack.
  6. Drive operational excellence through automation, observability, monitoring, and proactive on-call ownership.

---- Basic Qualifications ----

  1. Full Stack Engineer with 2+ years of experience building and scaling end-to-end systems across backend and frontend.
  2. Proficient in backend languages such as Java, Go, or Scala, and experienced in modern frontend frameworks.
  3. Skilled in designing and implementing scalable APIs, interactive UIs, and reliable data services.

---- Preferred Qualifications ----

  1. Experience with real-time and batch data technologies like Apache Kafka, Apache Pinot, Flink, Spark or similar is a plus.
  2. Experienced in performance tuning and operating large-scale, multi-tenant systems
