Sr Manager, Program Manager Tech, Strategic Accounts
About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned L6 Program Manager to lead large-scale, multi-modal Generative AI data labeling programs supporting high-impact initiatives for strategic Big Tech customers. In this role, you will be responsible for owning the end-to-end execution of GenAI data pipelines—from onboarding and task design to quality governance and delivery at scale.
This is a mission-critical role for driving high-quality training data pipelines that power next-generation LLMs and multi-modal AI systems. You will work at the intersection of machine learning, annotation operations, and enterprise customer success, partnering with product, engineering, data science, vendor teams, and AI researchers.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in managing complex AI/ML programs, experience scaling delivery across annotation vendors and internal teams, and a high degree of operational rigor in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
What the Candidate Will Do:
Team Leadership & People Management
Lead, mentor, and grow a team ensuring high performance and engagement.
Drive hiring, and performance evaluations while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Program Ownership
- Lead large-scale GenAI data labeling initiatives across text, vision, audio, and multi-modal tasks.
- Serve as the primary delivery owner for strategic accounts—responsible for onboarding, execution, and success metrics.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Build trusted partnerships with external Big Tech clients and internal cross-functional teams.
- Translate customer requirements into robust, scalable labeling workflows with clear SLAs and KPIs.
- Manage feedback loops, escalations, and continuous improvement with stakeholders.
Operational Excellence
- Drive workflow design, vendor allocation, throughput planning, and quality control.
- Implement audit pipelines, rework detection, and disagreement heatmaps to maintain gold-level quality.
- Own performance reporting (QA dashboards, batch-level summaries, drift monitoring, etc.).
Process & Tooling Strategy
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to implement model-in-the-loop annotation, smart sampling, and real-time QA feedback systems.
- Define process enhancements for labeling efficiency, cost optimization, and annotator experience.
Quality & Risk Management
- Establish rubrics, golden sets, and training protocols across domains and modalities.
- Drive issue triage, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions to close quality gaps at scale
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Linguistics, Data Science, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in program management, including 3+ years in GenAI/ML data programs.
- Experience leading a team
- Proven experience leading strategic enterprise programs or Big Tech accounts.
- Strong fluency in data operations, quality management, and annotation pipeline design.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and global vendors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline.
- Experience delivering multi-modal labeling programs (e.g., text, audio, vision).
- Familiarity with tools like Label-box, Scale, SuperAnnotate, AWS SageMaker Ground Truth, Label Studio.
- Experience working with model-in-the-loop, LLM evaluation, or RLHF data pipelines.
- Prior ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and vendor performance management.
- Familiarity with GenAI product cycles and model development lifecycles
For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$191,000 per year - USD$212,000 per year.
For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$212,000 per year - USD$235,500 per year.
