Software Engineer II - iOS
About the Role
As a Software Engineer II in the Earner Progression Org, you will play a key role in one of the highly unique and a impactful area of Tipping that affects both Rider and Earner experience. Uber moves billions of dollars in tips from rider to earners and its imperative that its done in a non intrusive and a delightful way across both the apps.
You’ll write reliable, maintainable code that other teams across the company depend on, and you’ll collaborate closely with teammates to design, develop, and maintain user interfaces and features for our iOS mobile applications.

- Design, develop, and improve solutions used by millions of members, in collaboration with a team of talented engineers, Product Managers and Designers.
- Write high-quality code and uphold standards for testing and coverage.
- Align the team on solutions to ambiguous problems and analyze the tradeoffs of different technical solutions
- Contribute to engineering cultivation in terms of quality, monitoring, and on-call practices.
- Find opportunities to improve how our team operates and promote standard processes
---- Basic Qualifications ----
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
- 3+ years working with iOS applications and technical software engineering experience;
- Proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI
- Experience with iOS SDK, strong knowledge of iOS core libraries, tools, and frameworks.
- Knowledge of iOS UI/UX Design Principles, experience designing responsive and intuitive user interfaces;

- Proven ability to enhance team efficiency or culture through positive initiatives
- Experience in developing mobile apps used by millions of users
- Strong focus on delivering high-quality mobile UI experiences and feature development
- Ability to take ownership and independently drive projects to completion
- Proficient in new feature development, performance testing, and cross-team collaboration
