Strategy & Planning Associate, EMEA Grocery & Retail

Strategy & Planning, Operations
in London, United Kingdom

Uber is redefining the future of grocery and retail—building the world's most dynamic and expansive marketplace for on-demand local commerce. A crucial part of this mission is making sure our strategy keeps pace with our ambition. As a Strategy & Planning Associate, you’ll play a key role in driving operational excellence and business performance across EMEA. From competitive intelligence to performance governance, you’ll help shape how we win in grocery and retail by turning insights into action and enabling smarter, faster decisions across the region.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive Business Insights: Own weekly and monthly performance reporting. You'll ensure leadership has crystal-clear visibility into what’s working, what’s not, and what’s next.
  • Track the Competition: Keep a pulse on competitors across EMEA using both data and market intelligence. Turn fragmented signals into actionable insights that keep us one step ahead.
  • Solve Complex Problems: Turn ambiguity into clarity. You’ll break down business challenges, dig into the data, and deliver clear, strategic recommendations that move the needle.
  • Collaborate Across the Globe: Partner with Global Strategy & Planning teams and local Ops leaders to align on planning, execute strategic initiatives, and drive consistency across markets.
  • Own Regional Governance: Optimize and manage key planning and performance processes that keep our region running smoothly and strategically.

What You’ll Need

  • 3+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, finance, analytics, or biz ops roles
  • Analytical Edge: You speak SQL and Excel/GSheets fluently, and you’re comfortable diving into large datasets to extract insights that drive real-world decisions.
  • Structured Thinking & Communication: You know how to unpack messy problems, find the signal in the noise, and communicate it all with clarity — both in slides and conversations.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Proven project management ability — you know how to juggle multiple priorities and still hit deadlines with precision
  • Commercial instinct — you understand what makes a business tick, and can spot risks and opportunities a mile away

We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently. If you have the curiosity, passion, and collaborative spirit, work with us, and let’s move the world forward, together.
