About the Role

You would be joining as a Business Operations Manager at Uber, India South Asia region, for driving rider growth & scaling new categories like Uber Reserve, Rentals, Pets, and Black.

This role requires you to have a growth hacking mindset, deep understanding of consumer experience, ability to think out-of-the-box and commitment to operational excellence. You will need to be a strong planner and stakeholder manager to work together with our Product, Engineering, Marketing, BD, Rider Ops and CommOps teams to ensure all decisions are coordinated and timely executed.

What the Candidate Will Do

  1. Craft a coherent vision, rider strategy and demand-generation roadmap for the categories. Be accountable for driving demand and growing usage across all segments. Manage and prioritize initiatives and allocate budgets across channels.
  2. Develop and execute growth hacking and rider acquisition/ engagement initiatives. Rider analytics which includes demand funnel, rider profiling, rider lifecycle management, etc. to extract insights that drive growth.
  3. Identify uniquely local marketing opportunities aligned with business priorities (major events, partnerships, seasonal moments, etc) and deliver campaigns against them. Build a compelling business case for the categories and rally stakeholders in Ops and Product.
  4. Leverage problem-solving skills to identify issues on the marketplace, rider, and driver fronts; use data analytics and qualitative research to test hypotheses; use sound business judgment to decide next steps; and show agility and execution excellence in addressing these issues in a time-bound manner.
  5. Collect rider and driver insights through CRM, research, support inbounds, etc, and design & execute education campaigns to help solve rider and driver-side issues. Collaborate with the Product team to run pilots to evaluate product market fit, identify gaps and opportunities to improve, refine the product roadmap, and GTM.

What the Candidate Will Need

  1. 3+ years of relevant experience in business analytics, high-growth startups, management consulting, investment banking, or similar professions with a high focus on problem-solving and data analytics.
  2. Proven experience in data-driven decision-making and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking and experimentation.
  3. Proficiency in data analytics, SQL, and Excel modeling. Appetite for solving problems, however complicated or ambiguous they may be, and the ability to break down high-reaching problems by applying structure and using data-driven insights.
  4. Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment and adopt a generalist do-what-it-takes mindset. Manage and deliver end-to-end projects on time with autonomy in a constantly evolving, rapid-growth environment, and demonstrated ability to coordinate, plan, and prioritize tasks across multiple projects.
  5. Ability to manage a wide spectrum of cross functional stakeholders.
