Operations Manager, Fulfillment & Merchant Experience

About the Role

As part of our operations team, you will help improve and grow our Pick & Pack, Shopper Product, and Custom Pricing Program merchant operations in Japan. You will work closely with Commercial, Product, Engineering, and Marketplace Operations to make our processes more efficient, improve order success rates, and create a better experience for both merchants and delivery partners. This role needs someone who is strategic, analytical, and strives for continuous operational improvement.

The Experience You'll Bring

  1. Improve Pick & Pack operations to shorten delivery times and increase order success.
  2. Help shape shopper product tools for Japan and give input to the product development team.
  3. Make merchant onboarding, billing, and invoicing smoother for merchants in the Custom Pricing Program.
  4. Create strong quality control systems and training tools to improve performance.
  5. Represent the needs of Japanese merchants and delivery partners to global product teams.

Basic Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of experience in operations, product operations, or similar roles.
  2. Strong data and problem-solving skills.
  3. Experience working with cross-functional teams like Product, Sales, and Engineering.
  4. Ability to lead and get things done in a fast-moving environment.
  5. Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Background in e-commerce, logistics, or marketplace platforms is a plus.
