What matters most to you – We conducted research into the experiences of driver partners

At Uber, we’re continually collecting insights into how driver-partners are using the app, so we can make it more rewarding for you.

We recently conducted research to help us better understand your experiences including what matters most to you, earnings and your level of ‘job’ satisfaction.

The report shows that flexibility is a key benefit of driving on the Uber app and 3 in 5 would not work without the flexibility it provides.

It also shows that driver-partners who use the app in peak times, or in areas of high demand, earn more than average. This highlights the importance of providing you with clear and up-to-date information on how to make the most of your Uber experience. This information is available on the driver blog page.

While the research reveals that driver-partners value flexibility most, it also found that many don’t want to have to choose between flexibility and the security and protections provided by more traditional employment.

There is more to do to support independent workers and at Uber, we want to be the driving force for this in Australia. We have already made progress with the introduction of a Partner Support and Protection policy, to give you peace of mind should something go wrong while on a trip.
