Football fever is sweeping the nation once again— and let’s face it—there’s no fan quite like a Green Bay fan. But getting out of the house and letting the local fever sweep you away is all part of the experience. The only question is: where to?

Best bars in Green Bay to watch pro football

For great drinks and a legendary atmosphere, look no further than Stadium View Bar & Grille. This local favorite sits in the shadow of Lambeau Field, just a block from the gridiron—yet right in the middle of the action. If there’s a more iconic experience for a football fan in Green Bay, we haven’t found it.  Happy hour starts at 3pm every weekday (except on Packers home game days), and the specials are pretty impressive, so get in early and ride out the game in style.

Where: 1963 Holmgren Way

A riverside option on Washington Street, the Libertine offers a refined bar experience–one that’s not overtly associated with football–but then, this is Green Bay. Sip expertly crafted cocktails under warm, diffused lights, and explore a rotating selection of draft beers and ciders while you catch the game bar-side. “Sit, sip, and savor” – that’s what the Libertine is all about.

Where: 209 N Washington St

Green Bay famously holds the most professional football titles of any city, not to mention the very first championship. The Titletown Brewing Company borrows one of the city’s iconic nicknames and serves up cold drinks for the most diehard Packers fans (you won’t even find their beer outside of Wisconsin). Take in a game on one of the TVs while you sample flights of local microbrews, and grab a meal from the remarkably impressive kitchen while you’re at it—their Spicy Elk Burger is a rare treat.

Where: 200 Dousman St

The prototypical sports pub, D2 features a spacious interior (perfect for big crowds), upbeat family-friendly atmosphere, and delicious menu of food offerings that rotates each quarter. With frequent football-day beer specials, this is where you want to be for those high-energy home games—or just an after-work hang with pals.

Where: 788 Armed Forces Dr

As a dedicated sports bar and restaurant (with four locations city-wide), a visit to Anduzzi’s is a surefire way to connect with fellow fans and share that game day energy. The space is jam-packed with flat-screen TVs and plenty of seating, so the inevitable crowds are never a problem. Order up some good old-fashioned comfort food, and enjoy what just might be the most generous “happy hour” in all of Green Bay.

Where: 900 Kepler Dr

“Always Packed,” quips the Sardine Can— and with good reason. Rub elbows with football fans of all backgrounds, as you take in a game at this super-casual N Broadway joint. Drinks are affordable, and the service is surprisingly good with bartenders that genuinely enjoy their work. Sometimes that no-frills dive bar experience is all you need, and the Sardine Can delivers on all fronts.

Where: 128 N Broadway

With over 100 craft beers on tap and a rotating selection of flights to sample, Ned Kelly’s is a clear game-day winner for brew enthusiasts. Plenty of crisp flat-screen TVs line the wall up at the bar, making this a downtown destination on the river’s edge a solid place to catch an action-packed game. Cheer on the Packers and discover a new favorite drink or two – courtesy of the super-friendly and knowledgeable bartenders.

Where: 223 N Washington St

It doesn’t get much closer to the action than this. Named in honor of the Packers’ founding year, the 1919 Kitchen & Tap serves up tantalizing appetizers, heavenly burgers, and a robust selection of brews, wines, and house cocktails – all in a spacious sports bar with an open layout and semi-industrial atmosphere, right in the Lambeau Field atrium. And talk about a winning vibe: huge plate windows towards the room’s south end give guests a stellar view of the stadium’s iconic 50-foot chrome replica of the Lombardi trophy.

Where: 1265 Lombardi Ave (Lambeau Field, 1st-floor atrium)

If you’re feeling the need for a little class with your football, you’d be hard-pressed to do better than the Standard & Company Bar in the heart of downtown. Serving up handcrafted cocktails under the glow of dim lights bouncing off cozy brick walls, the Standard & Co. has more of a lounge feel than most other places around – yet their flat-screen TVs are a reliable choice for game day broadcasts. Slide back on one of the leather couches and enjoy.

Where: 1139 Main St

A gorgeous 1880s pub with historic brick walls and rich woodwork, Fox Heights is a warm and inviting spot to catch the game downtown. This is a place that takes their refreshments seriously: full-service bars offer up an impressive selection of draft beers, each chilled to the proper temperature for their individual style and point of origin. Check out the football action on one of their two 80″ TVs, and treat yourself to an appetizer combo platter or delicious hot sandwich.

Where: 217 N Washington St
